Sarah's Big Mess Number 286

Trust me; there have been 285 others... at least. I am a bit of a klutz. The women of my family all predict that their lives will end in some "Lucy" reminiscent fall or factory mishap. My death may very well end up being Heat Tool or glue gun related. I once had to visit the emergency room over a Quilting related accident.

So I keep my Embossing powder in these Rubbermaid containers. Good idea right? Well, perhaps I should add a weight to the bottom or something… cause they flip around easy. Embossing powder on a Stampin' Scrub pad is a pain in the butt... trust me... and as you might notice; I spilled on the "WET" side too.

Altoid Tin Mini Books!

Well... I need to confess; these are older pieces. But they are favorites of mine. I am working on some designs of Altoid tins with the New Holiday Mini Papers... I will post them when I am finished. There is no template needed really. It's just a matter of measuring the inside of your tin, and then multiplying that by the number of panels. When you need to attach to lengths on panels just affix one panel to the next... back to back. I use 12X12 paper for the inserts, and a Whisper White base (a thinner paper) makes the folding and corner rounding easier.

The Lifesaver Card (named by DH)

I do NOT emboss enough... I created this card for a Stamp-a-stack; lesson learned...Sarah ALWAYS plans projects that are too difficult... or time consuming. The card in itself, without the embossing is simple... but embossing while worth the final result is not a quick process.

I CASE'd this use of Stampin' Up!'s "Riviting" stamp set from 11Valarie11 at Splitcoast. She pretty much rocks. I added the 1 3/8" backing circle which makes it pop a bit more I think... and don't you love this new Ribbon from SU? Finally a Bashful Blue Ribbon!

I'm already sad that the summer mini is almost gone... I loved that mini so much. The holiday mini has several sets in it I love... and LOTs of accessories; the ribbon, the note cards, the Halloween papers... the Bitty book... Oh my gosh; I better get stampin'!

How Much Do You Love Your Brayer?

My son played with my brayer all day... and then HAD to have it for Nap time. How cute is this!

I'm not Lion!

Sorry for the dumb pun... I am in love with this sweet lion from the new set "Wild About You". We made this card at my Stamp a stack on Friday night... it was a favorite I think. The "notebook" style page is achieved with the double rectangle punch... then I sliced in with my snips to get the torn look of the edge. I also love these colors (More Mustard, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise) together. The card is 5 1/4 X 5 1/4" square... another shape I am loving lately; square cards rock. I used the White Signo gel pen to add little highlights to the balloon.

I was able to add some tracking devices to my Blog, SU site and Meetup group today. I am pretty excited to start tracking everything... even if it is just my customers and me visiting! Thank goodness my hubby is helpful with all this computer stuff! I am really trying to figure things out by myself however... I hate asking for help!

Happy Stamping!

Glass Etching with Rubber Stamps!

I am so excited... Tomorrow I am hosting my first Glass etching class for my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends. Of course it is midnight and I am typing here when I really should be cleaning... my thinking... the stampers will understand. Plus no amount of scrubing will turn my Orange Vinyl floring into Pergo.

Etching Glass is so fun and easy... I will have to put together a little tutorial for you all later. Stay tuned!

Tiny Take Out Box!

How cute is this little guy! Even cuter when you have a dozen or so all grouped together. I just love these new Tiny Take Out Boxes from Stampin' Up! They are just adorabe and really easy to work with. I also used the New Classy Brass Template "Love It" with my Paper Piercing Tool around the stamped image in the center. AND how much do you LOVE those new colored brads!

Everyone I know will be getting one of these for Christmas... OR WAIT! Maybe I will use this as a Thanksgiving place setting!!! Stay tuned to see!
