Help Me Out and Win Something!

This is for all the local stampers... I am trying to compile a list of all the best stamping stores in the Chicagoland area... so let's say no more than 50 miles from Chicago. Just list 'em here and include a website link if you know of one.

For helping me out I will select three winners to receive a free stampy gift from me!

Thanks!

Edited to add: I will keep this contest open until 6/22. Did I miss any great stores?

Stamping or scrapping... I want paper too! :)

I no longer live in Chicago (I've been in Orlando for over 25 years now), but here's a store I try to visit when I'm in town; Stampology on Harlem. Stampologychicago.com

I also agree stampology is the ONLY place anywhere near me.
Stamp On In is close too but parking sucks which is too bad for those guys because they are so sweet.

How about The Cottage Stamper in St. Charles???? Great little stamp house owned by Karen and Louise. They are hosting Amuseapalooza there too!!!!! When you visit there is a great store not too far away The Little Traveler, a victorian house, with all kinds of things from soup to nuts and an incredible floral dept!!! Stampology was already mentioned, the selection and staff can't be beat!michellemallett@comcast.net

We did a road trip to Chicago last fall and stopped at Stampology. The owner was so accomodating and gave us a tour of the entire store and % off for traveling from out of state. He also said if we planned another road trip in the future, to let him know & he would arrange a class if 4 people came. It's a small store, but lots of fun stuff we hadn't seen elsewhere.

We also had fun at Stamp Thyme in Lockport, IL. They have a huge quantity of stamps and accessories from a wide variety of lines.

I'm excited about looking up some of these other stores for when we make the trip again.

Hi! The stamp store that is close to me is Stamp Thyme in Lockport, IL. It is easy to get to right off of State ST, one of Lockports main drags. The phone number is (815) 836-8180.

They are very helpful with classes and their samples. They also will order anything they don't have in stock.

Hope that helps and I can't wait to try some of the other places.

It's a good life!

You can't leave out this hobby shop in Evanston which has an enormous stamp selection and a great collection of PSX stamps. It's Tom Thumb Hobby Shop at

Another place in the subarbs that hasn't been mentioned yet is in DesPlaines. If you like vintage looking stamps it is especially good.

Carolina Moon on River Road (Rt. 45) in Des Plaines. They have a good selection of alterables, and inks as well.

I also second More than Memories as a good place in the subarbs. They have a pretty good selection of rubber stamps, inks, and alterables, but an AMAZING selection of patterned scrapbook paper and stickers.

If you want just stores that carry stamps you could include Paper Source in there but thought you wanted Stamp Stores so I didn't mention it before.

Stampology on the NW side is the best. www.stampologychicago.com Dave and Sue,the owners, are so friendly! Classes are great and they feed you, too!
